Players sit in a circle or around a table, with a drink.
One player starts counting by shouting "To my left, 1" and the player to the left shouts 2, etc. Keep going until you come up with a multiple of 5 or a number with a 5 in it, or a multiple of 7 or a number with a 7 in it.
When multiple of 5 or a number with a 5 in it comes up, you must shout "Fizz" instead of the number, and reverse the counting direction.
When multiple of 7 or a number with a 7 in it comes up, you must shout "Buzz" instead of the number, and reverse the counting direction.
If you make a mistake you drink, and the counting continues, from that person.
For example, 1,2,3,4, Fizz (reverse), 5,6, Buzz (reverse), and so on.
See how far you can go without driving everyone mad!
You can vary this game by asking people to Jump one player on the word Fizz, not reverse direction.
You announce that you will be playing "Stirring the mush". Ask anyone who knows how to play not to share the rules.
You stand up, or sit down, or lie on your back, or stand on your head...whatever position you want.
You instruct, "Do what I do," then chant, "I am stirring the mush, I am stirring the mush, I am stirring the mush," while enacting stirring mush however you want (lazily, with hip action, with both arms, or a little finger, or your toe, upside down, with eyes crossed, whatever).
The next person will probably say, "I am stirring the mush" 3 times while copying your moves. The answer is a loud "NO, that's not right" by those who have figured out the rule. If a person is wrong, he or she has to drink.
It gets confusing, because someone can lazily say the right thing three times while just sticking out a finger and stirring the mush three times, while the next person can stand on his or her head and rotate his or her hips while saying the same thing, and both people can be right.
The hidden rule is you have to say "DO WHAT I DO" before stirring the mush.
Takes a while for newbies. Fun, but a bit long...it actually takes a long time for people to figure out the hidden rule.
This game will definitely get newbies drunk within an hour.
To play: Announce that you're going to play "One Up, One Down." Ask that anyone who knows how to play not reveal the rules of the game. Sit in a semblance of a circle.
There must be a lot of alcohol available.
Begin by saying, "I'll start." Then you say one of the following:
1."One up, one down;"
2."Two up;" or,
3."Two down,"
whatever the case may be.
The person next to you must give one of the three available responses (again, the appropriate responses are "One up, one down," "Two up," or "Two down"). You tell that person whether he or she has correctly answered or not. If it is an incorrect response, that person must drink.
You play until every person has figured out the hidden rule. Usually there is at least one person who needs it rather hammily played out for them until he or she gets it.
The rule is the position of the hands. If one hand is on the lap and the other hand holding up or touching your drink, then the response is "One up, one down." If both hands are down, then the response is "Two down." If both hands are up, then the response is "Two down."
Pretty fun, especially since people initially think there is a pattern to the answers, when it's actually random.
It's called Drunk Driver. You can play with as many people and playing cards as you can get your hands on.
One person deals to "The Driver", who calls the cards before they are turned.
The driver calls either red/black or higher/lower than the last card. If the Driver is wrong, they drink. Move on to the next person for every King. Move to a new dealer for each pack.
This game is for 4+ players and very easy to play.
You need a pair of dice and lots of alcohol.
Everyone must sit around a table (or on the floor if you like).
You start by either nominating a player to be 3-MAN or the person that throws the lowest number after everyone throws is 3-MAN.
Then the person to the left of 3-MAN will start the game by throwing the dice. Every time a 3 is thrown or the dice adds up to 3 - 3-MAN has to take a sip of his drink. Once you have been around the circle back to 3-MAN, he nominates his person to his left - if he throws the dice before nominating he stays 3-MAN for another round.
You can also do the following when these numbers are thrown:
Doubles:
1 - social (everyone takes a drink)
2 to 4 - thrower nominates someone to take that amount of sips (e.g. double 3 - take 3 sips!)
6 - make a rule (like master of thumbs, no swearing, etc).
If you throw a:
7 - the person to your right must drink
11 - the person to your left must drink
5 or double 5 - quickly touch your forehead with your palm - last person to do this drinks (and this adds to the sobering part of the game)!
Every time you throw a 3, double, 7 or 11 you can throw again. And if someone rolls and the dice fall off the table, they have to finish their glass!
The game ends when everyone is too sloshed to carry-on.
